Welcome to the July-August issue of Journal of Massage Science. Only six months have passed since we launched our Journal. Thanks to you our Journal has received international attention. We now have readers from USA, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia.
We hope that you will find a lot of useful information in this issue. Mr. S. Ryason, LMT contributed an interesting article, which reviews the importance of the variations of speed of massage strokes. We continue to publish the article which covers the science of trigger point therapy. This is the third part of the article and it discusses the mechanisms which are responsible for the healing effects of the trigger point therapy.
In this issue you will also find an interesting Case of the Month contributed by E. Mesh, LMT. It shows the great clinical potential medical massage has when other medical modalities fail.
Finally we continue to review articles published in major American massage journals in our Good Apples/Bad Apples section of the Journal. According to you emails you found this part of the Journal very helpful. As one of our readers correctly pointed out:
